DPF and EGR Delete

Reduce exhaust gas recirculation failures, heat load and repeat downtime with a DPF and EGR delete package matched to the engine.

WHAT WE SOLVE

Remove the fault cycle, not just the warning light.

DPF and EGR systems can add heat, soot and complexity to engines that already work hard. Optima focuses on practical DPF and EGR delete options for heavy diesel operators, including Cummins and Detroit applications, with packages that can be paired with AdBlue work and fuel saving tunes where required.

Send Jack the vehicle details and current symptoms, and he will tell you what is realistic before anything is booked.

BENEFITS

Why operators choose this service

  • Reduce EGR cooler and valve failure exposure and DPF plugging
  • Lower heat load and fan-on time where the package allows
  • Cut downtime from recurring DPF and EGR-related faults
  • Remove weight and cost where EGR components can be deleted
  • Combine with AdBlue solutions or fuel saving tuning for complete vehicle performance issues
  • Tune for fuel economy, torque or power where appropriate
COMMON SYMPTOMS

Problems this is built for

  • EGR cooler failure
    DPF filter plugging
  • EGR valve faults, DPF faults, sensor faults
  • Soot-heavy intake systems
  • High coolant temperature
  • Fan running too often
  • Repeat workshop visits for the same emissions package
PROCESS

How the job normally works

01

Identify the engine package

We start with the exact engine, emissions standard and current symptoms, because EGR options vary heavily by engine family.

02

Choose the right calibration

Options can include EGR/DPF delete only, EGR/DPF delete with power increase, or a mild torque-focused economy package.

03

Confirm driveability

Throttle response, fan behaviour, coolant temperature and warning status are checked so the vehicle leaves with predictable behaviour.

COVERAGE

Where this service fits

Coverage is engine-led, so the exact make and emissions package matter more than the badge on the bonnet.

Core engines
Cummins / Detroit Diesel / PACCAR / heavy diesel applications on request
Common packages
EGR only / EGR plus DPF / EGR plus DPF plus torque tune / AdBlue plus response tune
Use cases
Linehaul / road train / construction / fleet trucks / industrial engines
FAQ

Questions operators ask

Every machine has its own history. Warning lights, fault codes, duty cycle and previous repairs all change the best answer.

Not sure what you need?Send a photo of the dash warning, the rego or VIN, and the machine details. Jack can usually narrow the path quickly from there.
Is EGR delete only for Cummins?

No. Cummins is a major focus because of the volume of known packages, but Optima also works with Detroit and other heavy diesel engines by application.

Can you increase horsepower at the same time?

Often, yes. Some packages keep power stock, while others add a power or torque increase depending on the engine and the job brief.

Why pair EGR and DPF work?

On many engines, EGR soot and temperature behaviour contributes to DPF problems, so treating only one system may not solve the recurring failure. In addition the EGR works with the DPF, so if you delete one the other needs deleting as well

NEXT STEP

Send the fault story. Get a practical answer.

No guesswork, no generic internet tune file. Tell us what the vehicle is doing, what has already been replaced, and how urgently it needs to be back earning. Jack will come back with the most sensible route for this EGR job.
