Ask Jack about coverageWe've built Optima's delete and tuning coverage around the engines doing the heavy lifting in Australasian and North American fleets. If your make or model isn't listed, it's almost certainly running an engine we cover — pick up the phone and we'll confirm.
A Freightliner Cascadia, a Western Star 5700 and a Mack Granite can all be running the same Detroit Diesel DD15 under GHG17 — so if we have coverage for the engine, we have coverage for the truck. The same applies in the industrial world: a Bell B40E articulated hauler, a JCB 457 wheel loader and a Claas Xerion tractor can all share a Mercedes OM471 Stage V with ACM3 aftertreatment.
That's why the brand list matters less than the engine family and the aftertreatment ECU. Below are the brands and engines we service most often. Each group links through to the specific delete kits in our product catalogue where we have coverage in stock.
The backbone of AU/NZ linehaul. We cover Euro 3 through Euro 6 with plug-and-play and quick-connect delete kits, plus ECU remapping for torque, fuel economy and engine longevity.

See a matching delete kitThree decades in heavy diesel means Jack has seen most engines before they rolled off the production line. Every file we run through a Cummins is tested on Australian triple-road-train applications before it touches a customer truck. Every delete kit we carry has been water-tested and field-tested in AU/NZ duty cycles — not just sourced from a European catalogue page.
When you call Optima, you get Jack. Not a triage queue, not a scripted support desk. That's why the same Volvo, Scania and Mack operators send us fleet after fleet.
Not at all. The list shows the brands we work with regularly. Coverage is usually driven by the engine and the aftertreatment ECU, not the truck badge — so if your machine runs a Volvo, Mercedes, Scania, Cummins, Paccar or Detroit Diesel engine we can almost certainly help. Call Jack on +64 27 573 8586 or flick us an email with your engine family and ECU part number.
Both. Roughly half the work is highway trucks (Volvo, Scania, Mack, Freightliner, DAF, Mercedes) and the other half is off-highway — excavators, wheel loaders, articulated haulers, tractors, harvesters and industrial generator sets. The aftertreatment systems are essentially the same family — the housing and the duty cycle change.
If the vehicle is still under manufacturer warranty, fitting an emissions delete kit will almost always void the emissions-related portion of that warranty. We're upfront about this — if your truck is a year old, we'd recommend running the factory system until warranty expires. Most of our work is on trucks that are out of warranty and operating on a tight cost-per-kilometre number.
Yes — Optima has service agents across New Zealand, Australia, Canada and the USA. Shipping of delete units internationally is routine, and we have qualified installers in each region who can fit and commission for you.
A wired-in unit connects directly into the vehicle's wiring harness — it's permanent, cheaper, and slightly more involved to install. A quick-connect (QC) unit plugs into the existing ACM harness connector in place of the factory module — it's fully reversible, faster to install, and easier to remove if you ever sell the machine. We'll recommend the right one for your make, model and operating context.
Coverage is engine-led. If we don't have the delete unit in our catalogue, we can usually source one — or tell you honestly if it's not solvable yet.
