TUNING | ECU REMAPPING

ECU Remapping

Tune the maps that matter: power, torque, economy, throttle response and emissions-system behaviour.

WHAT WE SOLVE

Remove the fault cycle, not just the warning light. Optimise for fuel economy.

ECU remapping adjusts the control maps inside the vehicle computer so the engine is calibrated for better efficiency or savings. Optima handles light, medium and heavy diesel applications, from utes and vans through to machinery, smaller trucks and heavy-duty fleet vehicles.

Send Jack the vehicle details and current symptoms, and he will tell you what is realistic before anything is booked.

BENEFITS

Why operators choose this service

  • Increase power and torque for loaded work
  • Build fuel-economy biased maps for fleet running costs
  • Improve throttle response and driveability
  • Reduce maintenance costs when paired with emissions fixes
  • Support DPF, EGR and AdBlue solutions where appropriate
  • Use current equipment and files for popular makes and models
COMMON SYMPTOMS

Problems this is built for

  • Flat response under load
  • Poor fuel economy
  • Torque gaps in working RPM range
  • DPF, EGR or AdBlue behaviour that needs calibration support
  • Generic internet tune files that do not suit the duty cycle
  • Mixed fleet needs across light, medium and heavy diesel vehicles
PROCESS

How the job normally works

01

Define the outcome

We decide whether the job is about power, fuel economy, torque delivery, emissions-system support or a balanced combination.

02

Read and modify the ECU file

The original file is read, adjusted and written back with the right equipment and file set for that make and model.

03

Verify the result

The machine is checked after remapping, with dyno verification used where the job requires measured before-and-after numbers.

COVERAGE

Where this service fits

Coverage is engine-led, so the exact make and emissions package matter more than the badge on the bonnet.

Light diesels
cars / utes / vans
Medium diesels
smaller trucks / machines / fleet vehicles
Heavy duty diesels
big trucks / construction plant / agricultural machinery
FAQ

Questions operators ask

Every machine has its own history. Warning lights, fault codes, duty cycle and previous repairs all change the best answer.

Not sure what you need?Send a photo of the dash warning, the rego or VIN, and the machine details. Jack can usually narrow the path quickly from there.
What gains should I expect?

Every engine is different, but the old Optima material uses indicative gains of up to 20% on diesel power and up to 30% torque where the engine package allows.

Can remapping reduce fuel use?

Yes, if the map is built for economy and the vehicle is driven in the right duty cycle. Not every tune is a maximum-power tune. This is very much operator dependent

Can you come to us?

Many remapping jobs can be done on site. Send the vehicle details first so Jack can confirm the right equipment and file availability.

NEXT STEP

Send the fault story. Get a practical answer.

No guesswork, no generic internet tune file. Tell us what the vehicle is doing, what has already been replaced, and how urgently it needs to be back earning. Jack will come back with the most sensible route for this ECU job.

  • Current fault codes or dash warnings
  • Make, model, year and engine family
  • Where the machine is based and how it is used
